24-year-old private bank employee hangs himself in Bangalore

A 24-year-old cashier committed suicide on Wednesday. The deceased, Vijay K, is a native of Kundapura in Udupi district. Vijay stayed with his sister in KR Puram in a rented accommodation, and he worked at ICICI Bank, Benaganahalli branch.

Police said that Vijay’s sister had been to their parent’s house in Mysore while brother-in-law Keshava was out on work.

Keshava told police that when he returned home around 1 am on Wednesday, he rang the door bell and also called Vijay on his mobile phone. But both went unanswered. Keshava grew suspicious and broke the door open. Inside, he found Vijay hanging from the ceiling fan.

Police said, “Vijay had left a suicide note which said: ‘I am responsible for my death’.

The body was handed over to Vijay’s family after a postmortem at Dr BR Ambedkar Hospital.
