The Ayodhya verdict evoked mixed reactions online, but bulk of the audience felt glad that the verdict has finally come out and that there wouldn’t be any more speculation.

“Rocking verdict on Ayodhya from the high court, it’s a pleasure to see my country with all peoples together in my future life, Thank’s God,” Gauresh01, a user of the microblogging site, Twitter, wrote.

“Its a good verdict. The least I can do is to let peace prevail and so far so good,” herecomesamit, a user from Bangalore wrote.
Users online believed that since the verdict was out now, people could finally move on with their lives. “We have built enough mosques and temples. Lets build the nation now,” Faraz Shaikh, another user wrote on Twitter. There were a few, who thought that there’s been too much hype around this judgement, “Ayodhya verdict a damp squib and it took 60 years for this? It’s Robo mania again!,” @PrabhasmyHero wrote.

The term Ayodhya was one of the most used words on the site and it remained on the trending terms list for the whole day.

“I somehow don’t like the whole calmness which has surrounded us after the #Ayodhya verdict. I hope its nt a warning b4 d real outburst,” Sakshi Chopra another Twitter user wrote.

There were lot of bloggers who decided to liveblog through the judgment, so they could put things in perspective.  Political blogs such as offstumped (offstumped.wordpress.com) compiled some opinionated tweets on the verdict.

On Twitter, users were very critical of the way visual media handled the issue towards the end of the day, with many claiming they were chasing the TRPs.
