Interestingly even Akshay Kumar's three movies - Housefull 4, Kesari and Mission Mangal made it to the list of highest-grossing films of 2019
2019 was an interesting year for Bollywood films and Box Office. Movies that were expected to perform well, tanked at the Box Office, and the movies which worked, were even rejected by a certain section of the society. Despite it all, there was a funny way for the movies to work at the Box Office.
While a movie like WAR worked mainly on Hrithik Roshan and Tiger Shroff's fanbase, Kabir Singh, which was the remake of Telugu blockbuster Arjun Reddy, worked despite a lot of criticisms for the film, especially by a certain section of the society.
Although WAR and Kabir Singh worked, a movie like Saaho, which was based on Prabhas' stardom, tanked at the Box Office after a grand opening. URI: The Surgical Strike, the first-highest-grossing film of 2019, was beaten by Kabir Singh and later WAR.
Interestingly, three movies out of the list of top 10 highest-grossing films of 2019, belonged to Akshay Kumar. His movies Mission Mangal, Kesari and Housefull 4 were a hit at the Box Office and thus, landed a spot on the list.
