Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli were in Bagalore for a day to attend the 6th M A K Pataudi Memorial Lecture and BCCI Awards
Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma, who got married to her long time boyfriend and Indian National cricket team's captain Virat Kohli in December last year, flew off to Bengaluru early on June 12 along with her hubby to attend the 6th M A K Pataudi Memorial Lecture and BCCI Awards, where Virat got honoured with the prestigious Polly Umrigar Trophy for the best international cricketer (2016-17 and 2017-18).
While Virat chose to keep it simple and casual in a white shirt and beige colored pants at the airport, the lady looked uber stylish in a pair of grey, checkered, loose-fitted trousers; a white camisole top, crop denim jacket, white sneakers and dark sunnies.

The event saw the who's who of the cricket industry in attendance but it was his wifey whose presence mattered the most to Virat. On receiving the award from present Indian coach Ravi Shastri, Kohli said,“My wife is here today so makes it more special. The awards didn’t happen last year but I am glad they didn’t because she is here now.”
The newly-married couple turned several heads at the awards' night as they twinned in navy blue. While Virat sported a dapper suit, Anushka looked gorgeous in a flowy, feminine long dress of the same colour.

The couple returned to the bay on the same night giving us a deja-vu moment of sorts as Anushka wore exactly the same outfit she had worn earlier in the day while she was clicked by the paparazzi at the airport. Except, this time she left her tresses open. On having a closer look at the pictures, we realised that Virat too hadn't got time to change as he was seen wearing the same suit that he had worn for the event. The humid weather of Mumbai made him get rid of the blazer, though.

It seems the event concluded quite late and the couple had to rush to the airport to catch their flight and perhaps that's why the fashion enthusiasts couldn't get time to change. But, even if they would have chosen to repeat their outfits intentionally on the airport, it shouldn't be a big deal. On a practical ground, it would have actually saved them a lot of bagagge space. Also I believe, the unsaid fashion norm of not repeating clothes, is digustingly overrated. Not only is the idea impractical but also environmentally unsustainable. I respect Anushka all the more now for rejecting the fashion rule and setting new trends, like always.
