After winning our hearts over with their fabulous performances in Queen, Kangana Ranaut and Rajkummar Rao are all set to reunite on the silver screen with Ekta Kapoor’s Mental Hai Kya. Going by the quirky first look posters, the two actors have managed to intrigue with their camaraderie.

Now as per a report in Deccan Chronicle, it won’t be Kangana who will play Rajkummar's love interest in the film. Interestingly, Amyra Dastur of Kaalakaandi fame has been roped in to star opposite Rajukmmar.

A source told the leading daily "Amyra has been approached to play Rajkummar’s love interest in the film. It’s a very quirky film and the makers have plans to cast some unusual pairing for the film."

Mental Hai Kya, a psychological thriller, will be helmed by Tollywood filmmaker K Raghavendra Rao’s son Prakash Kovelamudi and is written by Kanika Dhillon.

Talking about the film’s plot, Kangana had earlier revealed to Mumbai Mirror, “You’re never sure if this girl is hallucinating or what’s happening to her is for real, whether the guy (Rajkummar Rao) is trying to trap her or she’s got him wrong.” Meanwhile, she also shared her excitement on working with the Newton actor and said, “He is a star today while still being a brilliant actor, so I will have to be on my toes to ensure he doesn’t steal the show from right under my nose.”

Mental Hai Kya is slated to go on floors this month with their first schedule beginning in Mumbai,  followed by London.

Meanwhile, on the work front, Kangana will next be seen in Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi while Rajkummar has his hands full with Fanne Khan, Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga and Omerta.
