R Madhavan reveals his connection with the real 'Kamli' from Ranbir Kapoor starrer 'Sanju'

Since the time Sanju has hit the theatres, everyone is eager to find out who the actual Kamli is. As not just Ranbir Kapoor has won hearts in the role of Dutt, Vicky Kaushal in the role of his BFF who stands by him ups and down also got a thumbs up from the b-town biggies including Aamir Khan.

Sanjay Dutt's close friend in his biopic Kamlesh Kanhaiyalal Kapasi has won hearts, and the masses want to know who the real best friend is. 

Actor R Madhavan took the initiative and has finally revealed who the man behind Vicky Kaushal's character in the Sanjay Dutt biopic. 

The Saala Khadoos actor took to Instagram and posted a picture of his good friend, who also happens to be Bollywood star Sanjay Dutt’s close friend, Paresh Ghelani. 

Along with the picture, Madhavan wrote, “FINALLY U R here Bro-Hey Folks pls welcome some1 who is more than a Blood Brother 2 me-my inspiration and my IDOL-THE REAL “KAMILII” from “SANJU”-the elusive, Limelight loathing N my “ Go 2” man 4 all issues-PARESH Ghelani-@impareshghelani. Sorry, the bro-The world wants 2 know you#pareshghelani @impareshghelani (twitter ac).”

Madhavan had shared the aforementioned post with a collage of three pictures. While the first one features Vicky Kaushal and Ranbir Kapoor in a still from Sanju, the second one has Paresh and Sanjay Dutt smiling for the camera, while the third photograph features Madhavan himself, along with Paresh.

In an interview earlier with Indian express, Vicky Kaushal had said that his character in the film, Kamlesh Kanhaiyalal Kapasi aka Kamli, is an amalgamation of a few close friends of Sanjay Dutt. 

“I play a Gujarati fellow Kamlesh Kanhaiyalal Kapasi. The character is an amalgamation of three or four of Sanjay Dutt’s closest friends in real life but primarily the character is based on Paresh Ghelani who is based in the US. He lives and works there,” the actor had said.

The Rajkumar Hirani directorial, starring Ranbir Kapoor, is currently busy smashing box office records. 

Just a week old, Sanju, not only became the highest weekend opener for this year and also made a place for itself in the Rs 200 crore club in just 7 days.
