Watch: Ranbir Kapoor nails Sanjay Dutt's Munnabhai avatar in the latest 'Sanju' teaser

With just about a week to go for the release of Ranbir Kapoor starrer Sanjay Dutt biopic, the makers of Sanju are leaving no stones unturned to pique the interest of the viewers. As if the teaser, trailer, songs and posters of the film weren't enough, the makers have now unveiled a 19-second long teaser from the film in which Ranbir can be seen in Sanjay Dutt's Munnabhai avatar and boy! He nails it like a boss. 

Though, the makers of the film haven't reshot the scenes entirely, but Ranbir's Munnabhai has been superimposed on the original scenes from the film. While, Ranbir's body language and mannerisms do leave us impressed, we wonder why the makers decided to go with the dialogues in the original voice of Sanjay Dutt. While we've already heard Ranbir's voice in the teaser and trailer, hearing the real Dutt's voice as Munnabhai, while watching Ranbir in his stead in the teaser, kind of breaks the continuity of the impression created by the Sanju teaser and trailer. 

Nevertheless, kudos to Ranbir for acing one of the most loved characters played by Sanjay Dutt. 

At the teaser launch of Sanju, Rajkumar Hirani had shared that when he showed a few rushes of Ranbir in his Munnabhai avatar to Sanjay Dutt, at first, he didn't react at all. Later, Dutt told Hirani, "I don't think this is very good news for me," and burst out laughing. 

In fact,before the Sanju teaser was unveiled, a special video message from Sanjay Dutt was palyed in which the actor talked about the uncanny resemblance of him with Ranbir. He had stated, "Maine is picture ke scenes dekhe hain and I can't believe how Ranbir is looking like me. Raju (Rajkumar Hirani), Munna Bhai mein Ranbir ko mat le lena, samjha?"

Now that this teaser of Ranbir as Munnabhai is out, we know why Sanjay Dutt told Hirani not to take Ranbir in Munnabhai.
