1.3rd ODI: New Zealand opt to bat
New Zealand skipper Kane Williamson wins toss, opts to bat in their must-win fixture. Meanwhile, Hardik Pandya returns to the Indian squad and MS Dhoni has been rested due to a hamstring issue.
India vs New Zealand: Playing XI
IND XI: Rohit Sharma, Shikhar Dhawan, Virat Kohli(c), Ambati Rayudu, Kedar Jadhav, Dinesh Karthik(wK), Hardik Pandya, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Kuldeep Yadav, Mohammed Shami, Yuzvendra Chahal
NZ XI: Martin Guptill, Colin Munro, Kane Williamson(c), Ross Taylor, Tom Latham(wK), Henry Nicholls, Mitchell Santner, Doug Bracewell, Ish Sodhi, Lockie Ferguson, Trent Boult
2.OUT, Munro goes for 7
In the second over. bowled by Shami, Munro edges one to the keeper, but it was a tough opportunity, DK dives to his left but cannot get his hand on the ball, ONE. ONE. Shami bowls another full delivery, well wide off and a tempted Munro goes after that but ends up nicking an easy catch to Rohit Sharma at first slip. This is terrible batting from the opener. It's a must-win match for the Kiwis and their opener throws away his wicket. Yet another situation where Kane Williamson walks in with tremendous pressure on him to deliver with the bat.
New Zealand 11 for 1, Overs - 4
3.OUT! India send both NZ openers back to the dugout
After three slow overs. Bhuvi pulls off a stunner to dismiss Martin Guptill on the very first ball of the seventh over. It's a sucker delivery from Bhuvi, luring Guptill into the drive and the Kiwi batter obliges it and ends up edging an easy catch to Dinesh Karthik behind the wickets. Both the openers have gone back now inside seven overs and this is not the start the hosts wanted in a must-win game.
New Zealand 27/2, Overs 7
4.Kiwis brings up 50 runs
After losing the openers in quick succession, New Zealand's senior batsmen Taylor and Kane are slowly settling in. The hosts have managed 42 runs in the Powerplay and it is not the first occasion this year when the Indian attack has done a wonderful job in the first PP.
Powerplay 1 scores vs India in 2019:
41/2
38/2
30/2
34/2

New Zealand are 55 for 2, Overs - 14
5.'Udta Hardik' - OUT, Kiwis lose Kane!
'Udta Hardik,' Aakash Chopra screams on air as Hardik Pandya takes a blinder to dismiss the big fish, Kane Williamson! The NZ skipper was already under pressure as he was unable to get runs freely. When Chahal comes into the attack, he decides to go for a fancy shot to dismiss some pressure but that backfires. The ball flies in the air towards left of the mid-wicket where Hardik takes a blinder - diving - two-handed catch to give India a massive breakthrough here. Hardik is wasting no time in justifying the skipper's trust in him even after the sexism row.

New Zealand are 67 for 3, Overs - 19
6.100 Up for New Zealand
After losing three wickets for 59 runs, the hosts are finally looking to settle in at the crease with Ross Taylor and Tom Latham steering their innings. The pair has done well against India in the past and the Blackcaps will hope these two replicate that today, in their must-win game. They bring up 50-run stand and India need to break this partnership before damage is done.
New Zealand 118 for 3, Overs 28
7.Ross records 46th ODI fifty
Back-to-back boundaries and Ross Taylor brings up his half-century, his first of the series and overall 46th for the BlackCaps. It's been a gritty knock so far. After losing the openers early in the innings followed with the wicket of the skipper, it was all on Taylor to take charge and he has not disappointed so far. He has played a responsible knock; has taken the ones and twos but has gone for the boundaries whenever the Indians bowled a loose ball.
He also has 1000-plus runs against India in the ODIs!
Meanwhile, Taylor and Latham also bring up their 100-run stand for the fourth wicket.
New Zealand 160 for 3, Overs - 35
8.OUT! Chahal strikes, Latham goes!
Yuzi Chahal breaks the 179-runs stand between Taylor and Latham as he dismisses the latter in the 38th over. New Zealand would have wanted these two to play together for a few more overs but unfortunately, Latham goes soon after he scores a half-century. In his entire knock, Latham was impressive with his foot movement and even in the wicket-delivery, he did that bit fine but he just couldn't time the contact well. He goes down the ground, hits the ball with the base of the bat, no power at all there and ends up getting caught at deep mid-wicket where Rayudu does the job.
Two deliveries later, New Zealand almost lost their new man Henry Nicholls too. He sprints away quickly for a single and beats Kohli's throw to the keeper.
New Zealand are 187 for 4, Overs - 39
9.Pandya strikes, Nicholls goes for 6
The bowling change works in the favour of India as Hardik Pandya dismisses new man Henry Nicholls. In the last two matches, the Kiwis batsmen were making the same mistake of not waiting for the ball to come and then play. Taylor and Latham were careful about it today but a restless Nicholls repeats the same mistake. Pandya bowls a short delivery to Nicholls, it has a bit of bounce, the Kiwis batter goes for an early pull but a nick with glove lobs to DK behind the wickets.
New Zealand lose their last proper batsman but they still have Taylor at the crease who has no option but to try and stay till the end and face as many balls as possible.
New Zealand 194 for 5, Overs - 41
10.A double strike for Hardik Pandya!
A poor delivery from Hardik Pandya, short and wide. Any batsman would smash it but Mitchell Santner comes up with a more poor shot, he doesn't make his feet and ends up edging to DK behind the wickets.
A stunning catch followed with two wickets - Pandya has had some comeback so far.
New Zealand 206 for 6, Overs - 43
11.Oh, dear. Shami strikes and no hundred for Taylor!
Shami stricks to his perfect length and that beat Taylor, who looks to play through his outside edge but ends up nicking to the keeper. He reviews it immediately but the replays convince the third umpire that he is out. He missed out on a well deserving 21st ODI ton! A second wicket for Shami and this could cost the Kiwis bad later on.
New Zealand 230 for 7, Overs - 47
12.3rd ODI: India begin their chase of 243
The Kiwi openers once again failed and put their skipper Kane Williamson under pressure of a must-delivering performance. He got under more pressure following a series of dot deliveries that forced him to play a rash shot and lose his wicket. Taylor stitched a significant 119-run partnership with Latham for the fourth wicket. Things slowly began to fall in place for the hosts but then Chahal broke this stand and from there, they never recovered. Taylor missed his ton by seven runs and Blackcaps certainly do not have enough runs on the board.
India need 244 to win and seal the five-match series.
13.Trent Boult strikes, Dhawan out!
Shikhar Dhawan was looking good but again he plays a loose shot to surrender his start in the chase. Boult bowls a good length ball, slightly outside off and Dhawan goes for a late push but an outside edge flies to first slip where Ross Taylor takes a neat but brilliant catch.
After a top knock of 93, he begins this innings with this effort. Ross (134) also surpasses Stephen Fleming (133) for most catches by a New Zealander in ODIs.
Meanwhile, the overall record:
Most catches as fielder in ODIs:
218 M Jayawardene
160 R Ponting
156 M Azharuddin
140 S Tendulkar
134 ROSS TAYLOR
14.100 runs up for India!
Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli have well settled in at the crease. While India bring up their 100 runs, Rohit records his 39th ODI half-century, his second consecutive of the series. New Zealand need to break this stand for any hope of making a come back in the game.
India need 126 runs to win 3rd ODI
15.India lose Rohit, Kohli in quick successions
Mitchell Santnerfirst removed Rohit Sharma for 62 in the 29th over before Boult removed the skipper three overs later and suddenly the BlackCaps see themselves into the match again. Another quick wicket or two will shake the confidence of this Indian team.
New Zealand 171 for 3 - Overs 32
