On Sunday, as England plundered runs, former India captain Sourav Ganguly lamented the call not to pick Kuldeep Yadav in the starting XI. India is playing only one spinner - Yuzvendra Chahal -  in the third T20 international against England.

England have scored 134/2 in 13.1 overs so far. While Kuldeep didn't pick any wickets in the last match, the abrupt decision to drop the wrist-spinner, who has bamboozled batsmen around the world, can only be described as a knee-jerk reaction. If England win this match, Kohli and Shastri will have to ask some hard questions.

Perhaps the decision was taken keeping in mind the short boundaries at Bristol, but that still makes it hard to explain

Kohli had no qualms in admitting that the hosts were a better side in the second Twenty20 with the hosts comfortably chasing a 150-run target.

Kuldeep, who had bamboozled England batsmen in the series-opener and returned a five-wicket haul, remained wicket-less in second match.

"They played Kuldeep really well today, and that was the difference in the middle overs this time. They did their homework and played Kuldeep really well. Need to get back day after," Kohli opined after the match.

The Indian spin duo faced its first real challenge in more than a year with England batsmen biting back immediately after drubbing in Manchetser. From Sri Lanka, to Australia, to New Zealand, and to South Africa, none of the opponents could easily contend with Chahal-Kuldeep in such quick time. England won the second T20I by five wickets to level the three-match series 1-1.
