It's a lie, big conspiracy to derail my career: Mohammed Shami on wife's allegations of cheating, abuse

Indian fast bowler Mohammed Shami has responded to the cheating and domestic abuse allegations made by his wife Hasin Jahan.

The wife of Indian pacer Mohammed Shami has reportedly claimed that the sportsman is having an illicit affair. In a bid to expose the pacer's extra-marital affair, she posted several screenshots of Messenger and Whatsapp messages on her Facebook wall.

Married to Shami since 2014, Hasin Jahan reportedly claimed that the bowler is having several extra-marital affairs simultaneously.

Notably, the post, which was uploaded from an unverified account, was titled as 'Shami's enjoyment' and had several pictures of the pacer's text messages to multiple women.

The account owner also posted Shami's pictures with some of them.

In a response, Shami tweeted,

Ye jitna bhi news hamara personal life ke bare may chal raha hai, ye sab sarasar jhut hai, ye koi bahut bada humare khilap sajish hai or ye mujhe Badnam karne or mera game kharab karne ka kosis ki ja rahi hai. (All these allegations about my personal life are lies. This is a very big conspiracy against me. It's an attempt to defame me and hurt my game)

Hasin Jahan returned to Kolkata on January 8 and has informed the Jadavpur police about the situation. She alleged that Shami and his family members threatened to kill her. “Everyone in their family used to torture me. His mother and brother used to abuse me. The tortures continued till 2-3 am in the morning. They even wanted to kill me," alleges Jahan.

Shami is currently playing Deodhar Trophy as a member of India A squad. He has always fought the trolls when they slammed the way she dressed. This is why revelation by Hasin Jahan come across as shocking.
