NEET result 2020: NTA to declare result today, here's how to check score

Over 14.37 lakh candidates sat for the medical entrance exam on September 13 this year, amid the calls for postponement due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The National Testing Agency (NTA) will announce the results for NEET 2020 on Friday. Candidates who appeared for the NTA NEET 2020 exam are advised to keep an eye on the official website - ntaneet.nic.in for the latest updates on results.

The announcement was made by Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal 'Nishank'. "NTA will be declaring the results of NEET UG 2020 on 16th October 2020. Exact timing of the results will be intimated later. I wish all the best to the candidates," he tweeted.

NTA NEET Result 2020: When and where to check

The candidates can check the result through the websites- nta.ac.in, ntaneet.nic.in on Friday.

How to download NTA NEET Result 2020

Step 1: Visit the official website ntaneet.nic.in.

Step 2: On the homepage, click on the link 'NEET (UG) - 2020 Result'.

Step 3: Enter your NEET application number and date of birth and click on submit.

Step 4: NTA NEET 2020 results will be displayed on your screen.

Step 5: Download the results and take a print out for future reference.

Candidates need to meet the minimum qualifying criteria as set by the NTA for admission to India's premium medical colleges. General or unreserved (UR) category candidates have to score at least 50th percentile in the exam, while those belonging to SC/ ST/ OBC need to obtain 40th percentile.

NEET quota seats

For the 2020-2021 academic year, seats in MBBS and BDS admissions will be reserved for spouses and children of terror attack victims.
