Katrina Kaif, Tabu and Aditya Roy Kapur starrer 'Fitoor' in trouble?

Not too long ago, Abhishek Kapoor’s highly anticipated film Fitoor grabbed headlines when Rekha made an exit from the project. After the veteran actress ditched Fitoor, which stars Katrina Kaif and Aditya Roy Kapur in the lead, Tabu was brought on board immediately. However, this whole switch has made things a bit tough for the makers as they will now have to re-shoot all the portions they shot with Rekha in Kashmir. And it won’t b easy because the makers of Kat and Aditya starrer will once again have to take permission to shoot in the beautiful valley. So all this has created budget issues for the makers.

While talking to a leading tabloid, a source said, “The film was already over budget and the permission to shoot in Kashmir was obtained with a lot of difficulty. Now re-shooting will not only add to budget issues, but also getting the similar effect in terms of weather will also be a huge challenge.”

Talking to the same tabloid, UTV’s spokesperson didn’t comment on the same but he revealed, “The Mumbai schedule is well on track. We are currently shooting at a studio and will be here for another 25 days, so there is no question of any permission.”

While it is being said that Rekha had only shot for two days in Kashmir, according to a tabloid report, the ageless diva shot for more than two days. If that’s the case then the makers of Fitoor will have to zoom off to Kashmir again that too for a few days so that they can re-shoot the scenes with Tabu. And that will surely burn a hole in their pockets!

Directed by Abhishek Kapoor, Fitoor which is slated to release next year on February 12 is produced by UTV Motion Pictures
