NT Rama Rao: This Telugu legend is known for his roles as Lord Krishna and some fans even think he is Lord Krishna! He has played Lord Krishna in an astounding 17 films – this is a feat no other Indian actor has surpassed. His memorable performances as Lord Krishna include films like Sri Krishnarjuna Yudham (1962), the Tamil film Karnan (1964) and Daana Veera Soora Karna (1977).
Akshay Kumar: He came, he saw and he conquered in OMG- Oh My God! Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar was perfect as Krishna in this movie with a modern twist. Though there were some controversies as to how the god was depicted in the movie, people loved the film and its Krishna!
Pawan Kalyan: Gopala Gopala was the Telugu remake of OMG- Oh My God! and Pawan Kalyan was super cool as Krishna in this movie. Though he appears in the film for just 25 minutes, he was the soul of the film. The Powerstar as modern-day Lord Krishna won the hearts of the audience.
Nitish Bharadwaj: Who can forget this actor’s portrayal of Lord Krishna in epic BR Chopra TV series Mahabharata? Nitish Bharadwaj gave up his career as veterinarian to play this role on TV. He eventually became synonymous with Lord Krishna.
Gemini Ganesan: Tamil film legend Gemini Ganesan has also essayed the role of Lord Krishna on screen. He is referred to as ‘Kadhal Mannan’ or ‘King of Romance’ in Tamil cinema. Gemini Ganesan played Lord Krishna in Chakradhari in 1948, a role that was perfectly apt for him!
