'National love interest' Priya Prakash Varrier on her overnight fame: It's too much to handle!

Malayalam actress Priya Prakash Varrier has been grabbing the eyeballs since the past two days. The actress became popular as the 'girl who winked' her way to fame overnight after a video clip from a Malayalam song went viral on social media platforms. 

The said video clip features Priya P Varrier arching her eyebrows while looking at a guy who crushes on her. This is followed by a naughty wink and a coy smile. The netizens can't stop crushing over her ever since the video from Oru Adaar Love song broke the Internet. 

The 18-year-old became an Internet sensation overnight. Her followers on social media also saw a massive jump, expecialy on Instagram. She gained more than 600 thousand followers on the photo sharing platform in a single day. 

The folks at WION news reached out to Priya Prakash Varrier and asked her how she's handling the sudden fame post the release of the song Manikya Malaraya Poovi from her debut film. Varrier shared, "The fame is too much for me to handle. All this is surreal, I am still trying to cope with it."

When quizzed about all the love and attention she's been gathering, she told WION news, "I am very happy and want to thank everyone for their support." 

Earlier, Priya had also tweeted out to her supporters, soon after she found out that she's become a nation wide trend on Twitter.
