She’s a fully qualified teacher, an administrator, and adept at handling forty screaming four year olds at one time. Mamta Dalal is the low profile younger sister of the first lady of Indian business, Nita Ambani. Mamta, like her sister, is part of the Dhirubhai Ambani school in Bandra, but in a more hands-on manner. She is an administrator as well as an Upper KG teacher in the school, where she has taught some of the most well known kids in the country, including Suhana Shah Rukh Khan and Arjun Sachin Tendulkar.

“Not only do I love teaching them, but I also like spending time with them. They are really sharp kids, who are not satisfied with half baked information. They are very curious, very eager to learn and grasp as much information as they can. Of course, running a class of four and five year olds is not an easy task, but I guess I have a passion for kids and teaching, so I manage,” says Mamta.

While she keeps a low profile on the Mumbai party circuit, Mamta says she started off helping her sister with the administration of the school, which is located in Bandra, but then moved on to teaching in it. “I have taught Shah Rukh’s kids and also Sachin’s kids, but for me, all my students are the same. I have been teaching full time for the past three years now. I not only teach, but also conduct camps, workshops and physical activities for the students,” she adds, adding that at the end of the day, she’s a content person. “I am one of those lucky people who gets to work with the most innocent lot,” she laughs.
