After Meesha Shafi's allegations of sexual harassment against Ali Zafar, more women in Pakistan have come out with similar claims against the actor-cum-singer. The #MeToo movement is getting stronger by the day in Pakistan and even singer Momina Muhtehsan also opened up to talk about her unpleasant experiences in the past. In a long note on sexual harassment the singer didn't name anyone but ended up questioning Ali Zafar. "I would want to ask Ali Zafar and all other men one question: do you think you have ever, knowingly or unknowingly, violated a woman in any way or form? If you have (no one is an angel) I request you to acknowledge your fault, apologise unconditionally, learn from the mistakes, and become a better human being," wrote Momina.

#MeToo needs a response #ImSorry from the offenders. Nothing will change until they acknowledge, take responsibility and make amends. pic.twitter.com/sphI1c1agT

Earlier Meesha's issued an official statement on Twitter which reads, “I have been subjected, on more than one occasion, to sexual harassment of a physical nature at the hands of a colleague from my industry: Ali Zafar. These incidences did not happen when I was young, or just entering the industry. This happened to me despite the fact that I am an empowered, accomplished woman who is known for speaking her mind! This happened to me as a mother of two children.”
Within hours of Meesha's allegations going puiblic, actor-turned singer also took to Twitter and wrote, “I categorically deny any and all claims of harassment lodged against me by Ms Shafi. I intend to take this through the courts of law and to address this professionally and seriously rather than to lodge any allegations here, contesting personal vendettas on social media and in turn disrespecting the movement, my family, the industry and my fans. Ultimately I am a strong believer that the truth, always prevails.”
Sharing this because I believe that by speaking out about my own experience of sexual harassment, I will break the culture of silence that permeates through our society. It is not easy to speak out.. but it is harder to stay silent. My conscience will not allow it anymore #MeToo pic.twitter.com/iwex7e1NLZ

While Ali Zafar wrote he plans to take the matter into court, many women in Pakistan have come out in support of Meesha Shafi.
