Was Hrithik Roshan the first choice for Remo D'Souza's 'ABCD 2'?

Hrithik Roshan is known for his excellent dancing skills and has mesmerised audiences many a times with his scintillating moves on screen. How would it be to have Hrithik feature in an all-out dance flick? Wouldn't it be amazing? Well, did you know Remo had initially approached Hrithik to star in ABCD 2? But the actor reluctantly turned the offer down. 

"Hrithik was the first choice for his film. Remo had even spoken to Hrithik about the same but he was not happy with the narration. so he did not do the film," a source told us. It was then that Varun spoke to Remo and insisted on doing the film. "I got ABCD 2 purely because I wanted to do it. I just wanted to do a dance film and I myself spoke to Remo sir and told him I want to do it. I assured him that I will give in my hundred percent," Varun told us.

Despite not having Hrithik's nod, Remo is mighty pleased with his product. "Varun and Shraddha are possibly the best suited for the film. Coming to think of it now, I am really happy I got my Suresh and Vinnie in them because they are extremely hard working. They would sit back after shoot, do rehearsals, watch the others perform. they would not move from the sets. It was lovely working with them," Remo smiles. 

But what about working with Hrithik? Remo says it's one of 'his dream projects' which will definitely happen 'someday soon'. "My dream project is to make a period drama with Hrithik. He just suits that space so much," Remo reveals. Now we all know that, given his Jodha Akbar worked wonderfully well and he's now gearing up for his next period romance- Mohenjo Daro that releases next year.
