Bollywood personalities under tight security

In the wake of recent terror attacks many Bollywood personalities have upgraded their security manifold. Now, security guards of some of the biggest names like the Bachchans, Shah Rukh Khan, Aamir Khan, Akshay Kumar, Priyanka Chopra, Hrithik Roshan, Katrina Kaif etc. can do anything from nabbing suicide bombers to controlling shooting sprees and help in disarming bombs.
Security companies have commissioned compulsory military and commando training to their recruits.

“Terror strikes are getting sophisticated by the day and since I run a security company, I should be ready to save my client from it. As stars are always in the spotlight, anyone can approach them and pull off a terror attack to create headlines. There are weapons that are even undetected by metal detectors. In such a scenario, formal training is being imparted to our recruits by specialised people who have experience in tackling terror attacks,” says actor Ronit Roy, who runs a security company.

The owner of another security company says on condition of anonymity, “We have added several layers to our clients’ security ring. At social gatherings, our army style trained guards mix with the crowd and form a barrier between the star and audience. So, if anyone wants to blow up a bomb or shoot from close range, he/she will be immediately nabbed.”

Event management companies are also hiring such specially trained security guards. “The government sends its force, metal detectors and even sniffer dogs at events. But we are living in sensitive times and need extra protection. Though stars bring their bodyguards, we too take people who are trained and well prepared to prevent terror activities,” says Mohammed Morani of an event management company.
