Dharmendra to quit politics?

The veteran star is rarely seen in the parliament nowadays. There was a hushed murmur about the fact that yesteryears star Dharmendra is all set to call it quits.

Now, the rumours have got stronger because sources say that the yesteryears star has communicated to the top brass of his political party expressing his willingness to step down from his constituency as Member of Parliament (MP).

“When I came into politics, I felt like I had almost choked myself and that I had been emotionally dragged into this. I never wanted it. 

I banged my head into the mirror and wondered why I had said yes,” Dharmendra told a select group of media who had met him regarding the issue.

Dharmendra was representing Rajasthan’s Bikaner constituency which has always been regarded as a very important seat in the political circles.

It is being said by people close to him that the industry veteran is slowly becoming more reclusive and spiritual. He now likes spending more time at his farmhouse.

The Bollywood veteran earlier heaved a sigh of relief when his sons Bobby Deol and Sunny Deol took the reigns of the production house into their hands.

According to sources, it is his sons who inspired the actor to take a break from the grueling life of politics.

“Bobby and Sunny were always of the opinion that Dharm Paaji should not be taking any stress at this age. They reiterated the same thing when Dharmji fell sick during the shooting of a recent movie. It seems that the doting father has finally decided to listen to what his sons were saying all this while,” says a source.
