Is Ravi Kissen getting publicity crazy?

Bhojpuri star Ravi Kissen might be  heading for big trouble. Rumour has it that the actor has irked all the unit members of Mani Ratnam’s forthcoming film Raavan. Sources say he has been breaking the confidentiality clause of his contract by leaking out information — sometimes true and sometimes cooked up —of the project to stay in the news.

Apparently the actor is associating his name with high-profile people like Abhishek Bachchan, Aishwarya Rai and Mani Ratnam so that he can generate more publicity for himself.

A source says, “Ravi has been a thorough professional on the sets doing everything Mani sir wants him to do as an actor. However, once he is off the sets, people have come back to the unit and informed us that he has been leaking out information to the media which is sometimes not true. An actor needs to do it for publicity, but this is directly breaking the contract which one signs and accepts to keep information as strictly confidential.”

The insider adds, “Many people from the cast are horribly upset. He has been associating his name with stories and giving it out so that it garners more publicity. From Abhishek and Aishwarya, to Govinda and Mani Ratnam, stories of them with Ravi have been circulating in the industry. People are very upset and they are looking to take up the matter with him.”

When contacted, Ravi Kissen dismissed these allegations saying: “I’m a superstar of Bhojpuri cinema. I’m not looking to get publicity in such cheap ways. You are telling me that people are saying that I’m associating my name with Abhishek and Aishwarya to be in the news. Let me tell you that I’m a brand of my own and it is due to me that Luck has got good collections in Bihar and Uttar Pradesh. I will not do anything to hurt Mani sir’s film.”
