Mumbai film festival: What to watch on Day 5

The screening of Amour was cancelled on Day 3, and the film will now play on the fifth day, Tuesday, at the Jamshed Bhabha Theatre (JBT), making what seemed like a dull day come alive. Aniruddha Guha's pick of films to watch on Day 5 are as follows:

South Mumbai
Ken Loach's Angel's Share is a safe bet for the 10am show. It plays at JBT at NCPA. There's no better option, really.

At 12pm, Lou Ye's Mystery will play at Inox Screen 5, a film that received middling reviews at Cannes. The Way Steve Jobs Changed The World is good for the second option, playing at Inox Screen 1 at 12.30pm.

Amour plays at JBT at 3.30pm, and it's foolish to even have a second option really. However, the film shifting to Day 5 means it now clashes with Teddy Bear, a delightful Danish film. In case you wish to check it out, it will be playing at the same time at Inox Screen 1.

At 6pm, JBT will be screening David Corenenberg's Cosmopolis, but a better option is Xavier Dolan's French film, Laurence Anyways, playing at Inox Screen 2 at 5.45pm.

End the day with Electrick Children at JBT. You will not regret it.

Final plan for South Mumbai
10am: Angel's Share
12pm: Mystery
3.30pm: Amour Second option: Teddy Bear
5.45pm: Laurence Anyways
8.30pm: Electrick Children

Cinemax Sion
10.15am: California Solo
12.30pm: Rust & Bone
3.30pm: Reality
5.30pm: Children Of Sarajevo
8pm: Kauwboy

Cinemax Versova
10am: Clip
12.45pm: The Hunt
3.45pm: Mumbaicha Raja
5.45pm: Mars & Avril
