My Bigg Boss is yoga!

Though TV channel Colors had approached him to participate in Bigg Boss season 3, Baba Ramdevji has vehemently refused to be a part of it. SK Tijarawala, spokesperson — Swami Ramdevji and Patanjali Yog Peeth, explains, “To be a part of any show, Swamiji has a basis of selection. This show doesn’t fit into the guidelines set by him. Also, he has prior commitments till January 5, 2010, with the Bharat Swabhimaan Trust and Aastha channel for his live shows. So he simply refused to be a part of it. For Baba Ramdevji, his commitment to humanity is much more important than being part of a show.”

But didn’t the yoga guru consider being a part of this show since this time around the channel was scaling it to a different level altogether by involving a legend like Amitabh Bachchan? “For Amitabh, it is just another show to make money. For Baba Ramdev, it’s all about helping in making constructive changes in society by educating citizens, ensuring that everyone votes, etc,” says Tijarawala.

The fact that Baba Ramdevji was approached to be a part of this controversial show had made headlines and the spokesperson says Baba Ramdevji is miffed with the production house and channel for letting out this piece of information. “Flashing of this news is a cheap publicity gimmick. Swamiji has been approached by other channels also for their shows like Dus Ka Dum but that hasn’t been publicised. This act should be condemned. There is a lot of pressure on Swamiji from people who want him to be a part of reality shows.”
