Salman Khan's half measures

Arbaaz Khan is producing a film called Dabangg (which means fearless) and who better than elder brother Salman to play the role? What came as a surprise though is that this film will also mark the debut of Sonakshi Sinha, veteran actor turned politician Shatrughan Sinha’s daughter. Even though a big break for Sonakshi, the age difference between the two is humungous. While Salman is pushing 44, Sonakshi has just turned 21.

Arbaaz explains, “Once we did her screen test, we realised that Sonakshi fits the role the best. We needed a talented, young girl like her and they don’t come dime a dozen. Sonakshi has the looks and she has the right pedigree,” he says.

Sonakshi has been going through a bit of grooming and preparation for a while, for her debut role. The film is being written and directed by Abhinav Kashyap, brother of celebrated director Anurag Kashyap.
