Shivarajkumar and Raghuram DP are coming together after their previous film Cheluveye Ninna Nodalu for a film called CM. This film is being produced by Shankar Gowda, who’s finally struck gold this year with Kempe Gowda. The film has already made headlines this week with speculations about Tollywood star Trisha bagging the role of the heroine for a hefty amount.

The latest news we’ve learnt, which isn’t speculative, is that R Sarathkumar, the Tamil actor, will be part of the film. Shankar says, “Yes, we’ve zeroed in on Sarathkumar, he will be playing a pivotal role in this film. He’s a wonderful actor and we are really excited to have him on board.”

CM in the title stands for ‘common man’ and the film, unlike Raghuram’s previous venture, is not a typical love story and will revolve around the present political, social and cultural scenario in India. “It is a wonderful subject and I’m really excited to be producing this. We are hoping to kickstart the film on November 1,” says Shankar.

And the producer has some really grand plans too. “We also have contemplated the idea of making the film in Tamil as well. Though, these are just initial whims, we have thought of taking Arjun Sarja as the lead for the Tamil version, as this will be a script as powerful as his 90s hit Mudhalvan, which is considered to be a good film even today,” says Shankar.
