Will Asin star in James Cameron’s next flick?

If any Indian producer has money to afford James Cameron’s vision, Cameron is game to collaborate for a movie.

The film-maker, who has made movies like Titanic and Avatar, is looking to cast Indians in his forthcoming movie and has spoken to actor Asin about it.

Asin met the film-maker during a recent event where she was a keynote speaker. She dined with him post the event and was bowled over by his humility.

She says, “It was an experience of a lifetime for me to meet ‘the’ James Cameron. I had dinner with him. We spoke about cinema, both Hollywood and Bollywood. I was really fascinated that he knew so much about our industry. Though he has delivered two of the greatest films in history, I was surprised to see how modest he was.”

When asked about James’ plan of collaborating with Indian stars, Asin says, “I asked him if he was ready to make an Indian film and he said ‘certainly’. He also revealed that he was looking to take Indian actors in the movies he makes in future.”

So did James give her any hint that he might sign her for his next? Asin says, “We did talk about collaborations but it is too premature to talk about anything because nothing has been confirmed from his side.”
