Former Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh was arrested by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in the early hours of Tuesday (November 2) in connection with the alleged Rs 100-crore extortion and money laundering case.
Now, today (November 6), Deshmukh was remanded to 14-day judicial custody by a special holiday court in Mumbai. While the Enforcement Directorate (ED) sought his remand for nine more days, the Mumbai court rejected ED's plea and sent Deshmukh to judicial custody.
