The first images of Lalbaugcha Raja, Mumbai’s most famous Ganesh darshan, are out.

Every year, lakhs of devotees throng central Mumbai’s area of Lalbaug to get a glimpse of the gigantic Lord Ganesha idol on display. Legend has it that a wish is always granted to those who stand in line. Lalbaugcha Raja idol is kept for eleven days before being immersed on the auspicious day of Anant Chaturdashi.

Celebrations for Ganesh Chaturthi also known Vinayaka Chaturthi will begin on August 25.
