Bihar chief minister Nitish Kumar has written an open letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi taking strong objection over Modi's remarks about his DNA at a rally in Bihar.
In the open letter Nitish Kumar wrote about the hurt sentiments of people of Bihar, "Your words have been taken as an insult by a large section of the people of the state and beyond. Most of us also feel that coming from you, the comment is rather unbecoming of the office you hold."
Nitish Kumar also mentioned the remarks made by Union minister Nitin Gadkari. Gadkari had said, "“Casteism is in the DNA of Bihar”. Addressing the comment, Kumar said that such comments from Modi's colleagues weakens the collective faith of people in your leadership.
