A day after winning the no-confidence motion in Lok Sabha, Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched a blistering attack on the Congress and the opposition parties. In a veiled attack on Rahul Gandhi, he said that a few people have desperately set their eyes to grab the PM’s chair and they neither see the nation nor the poverty beyond that.

“The entire country saw how opposition used the floor of the Lok Sabha to bring a no-confidence motion against my government to test their own future. Their eyes are set on the PM’s chair and they can’t see anything beyond that,” charged Modi while addressing a Kisan Kalyan Rally in Shahjahanpur.

“We kept on asking about reasons for bringing the no-confidence motion but instead of giving any reply they just went on to ‘Modi ko Hatana hai’ (remove Modi is their aim) despite my government continue to enjoy the people’s mandate,” pointed he.

Modi claimed that the no-confidence motion was not moved just like that. “My government has sealed all routes to corruption and confiscated Rs 90,000 crore. Why would they trust a government which has sealed all their routes to corrupt practices being carried out since the past 70 years,” pointed Modi.

He said that their own Prime Minister had once candidly admitted that the Centre sends Rs 1 but when it becomes 0.85 paise only when it reaches to villages. “Who were these hands (Congress symbol) which were siphoning off 0.i5 paise when they had governments in majority of states in the country,” said he.

“My only sin is that I stand tall against the corruption and the dynasty rule (parivaarvaad). While the people of the country have faith in my government and its policies, the Congress and opposition say that they don’t trust Modi and to remove him was their main agenda. No one can remove me till I have people’s mandate and their continuing support,” blasted Modi.

He went on further to say that “whether you (Conress) join with the cycle (Samajwadi Party) or the elephant (BSP), the country is now awakened with your drama and will never support you in future.”

“There is not only one party (Congress) but many other parties are joining hands together in their campaign to dislodge me and my government. Jitna Jyada dal hote hain utna jyada daldal hota hain aur utna jyada kamal khilta hain (when so many parties join hands, they land into a bog and it becomes easy for the lotus to bloom in the swampland they create,” ridiculed Modi.

Modi said that his government’s priority was to make a New India by 2022 and he has no time to pay any heed at Congress and opposition’s drama, egos and over-confidence till people of the country continue to have faith in him.

It was Prime Minister’s first direct address to farmers after increasing MSP of 14 Kharif crops, including Sugarcane. On the occasion, he listed steps taken by his government to increase the income of the farmers.

“While the previous regime sat over Atal Bihari Vajpayee governemngt’s pilot project on making ethanol from sugarcane, my government implemented it and increased the production from 40 crore litres to 160 crore in the last four years. We not only saved foreign currency on petrol import but also provided an opportunity to sugarcane farmers and mill owners to increase their income by manufacturing ethanol in case of overproduction,” claimed he.

Modi claimed that while opposition continued to shed crocodile tears on their plight without doing anything, his government has taken a number of steps which will ensure to clear dues of 5 crore sugarcane farmers and to double their income by this year end.

After unprecedented victory over congress and opposition on the floor of Lok Sabha, Modi is now brimming with renewed confidence to take on the opposition in BJP’s campaign for the 2019 Lok Sabha polls.
