20-year-old Asharam Choudhary crcaked AIIMS MBBS exam in first attempt. Choudhary cracked the All India Institite of Mediacl sciences (AIIMS) MBBS Exam in the very first attempt only to get selected in AIMMS Jodhpur. He lives in Vijayaganj Mandi village of Dewas district. His father Ranjit is poor but feels rich and says, "I make a living by collecting and selling junk. We do not even have a house, but our wealth is my son, who has done us proud by getting selected to a prestigious medical college," he said."

Asharam gives the entire credit to his supportive parents and teachers for the success. "Without them nothing would have been possible. I want to be a good doctor and serve the country," he said. Ashram had also cracked the NEET.

While talking about his success Asharam also mentions how Dewas additional district magistrate Kailash Bundela also helped him to get admission. He said, "I had applied for admission to the Dakshina Foundation coaching in Pune, but the concerned official asked for a bribe. So, we approached Mr Bundela, who helped us secure the BPL card, which got me enrolled."

Asharam Choudhary completed his initial days of education in a government school in his village. Asharam later got admission into Navodya Vidyalaya. After completing his higher education he had enrolled with the Dakshina Foundation with Bundela's help. He then simultaneously prepared for the AIIMS exam while studying for his class +2 exams. Asharam scored 707, All India rank and 141 rank in the OBC category. Asharam even secured  2,763 All India rank in the National Eligibility Entrance Test (NEET).

Asharam's aspired to become a doctor ever since he was just 10 years old. He recalls that when he was studying in class 5, he visited a ‘Jhola chaap’ (an unqualified practitioner) with his father. The doctor prescribed a couple of medicines and earned Rs 50 in no time. He so far had seen his father work hard all day long just to earn that Rs 50 a day. It is then when he decided he wanted to be a doctor and fight away the hardships of his families. Atrue example of Rags to Riches.
