Block agriculture officer held in Bihar

A senior official of Bihar agriculture department was today arrested by the state Vigilance Bureau while accepting a bribe from a person in Bihar's Nawada district today, vigilance sources said.
    
Acting on a complaint from one Santosh Kumar that the BAO had demanded the bribe for some work, the vigilance sleuths raided the house of the Block Development Officer Ramashankar Singh at Akbarpur block this morning and caught him red-handed while accepting Rs12,000, the sources said.
    
He was being brought here from Akbarpur for production before the Special Vigilance Court here today, they said.
