As many as 71 medicos, who originally belonged to the Kesar Sal Medical College, have approached the Gujarat high court as the deans of BJ Medical College and NHL Medical College have refused to endorse their applications for pursuing post-graduate courses.

These students were earlier shifted to the two government colleges for internship as per the high court order in June, as Kesar Sal Medical College had been de-recognised by the Medical Council of India (MCI).

Now, the students are unable to pursue post-graduate studies as the deans of the two medical colleges have refused to sign their enrolment forms for the courses. According to the high court order, 47 final year students of MBBS were accommodated in the BJ Medical College and 24 were shifted to the NHL Medical College.

These students want to pursue P-G courses, for which they have to fill up entrance forms. The filled up enrolment forms need to be certified by the dean of the college from where they have completed their  internship.

However, the deans of BJ Medical College and NHL Medical College have refused to sign the forms. According to students action committee of the Kesar Sal College, the fate of these medicos hangs in balance, with no one listening to them.
