Khalistan Liberation Force terrorist nabbed in Punjab

A suspected Khalistan Liberation Force (KLF) terrorist, who allegedly planted bombs outside an LPG bottling plant and an Air Force station in Punjab, was arrested in Patiala today.

Identified as Pargat Singh, he was staying in a guest house at Sant Nagar for the past two-and-a-half-months under a fake name, SSP R S Khatra told reporters here.

Pargat was a close associate of the KLF terrorist Baba Bakshish Singh who was accused of planting a bomb at the Ambala military station this year and was arrested last month, the police officer said.

A resident of Bhalwan village in Punjab's Sangrur district, Pargat allegedly planted bombs outside the LPG bottling plant at Nabha and the Halwara Air Force Station recently.

The bombs could not cause any damage as these were detected and defused on time, the SSP said.

When Baba returned to India from Pakistan last Novermber, Pargat arranged accommodation for him in Bhalwan village where both allegedly manufactured bombs.

After planting bombs at these two places, Pargat Singh went to Malaysia and from there to Pakistan for training in arms, the SSP said.

He came back to India in May this year with directions to carry out more terror activities, the SSP said.
