Overnight rains brought down the minimum temperature in parts of Rajasthan with Jaipur and Bikaner recording a minimum of 19.1 degrees Celsius even as rail services were disrupted for the second consecutive day today.
       
Since last evening, Bikaner recorded a 58 mm rainfall while Churu received a rainfall of 45 mm, Pilani (36 mm) and Phalodi (18 mm).
       
Banswara and Ajmer recorded 4 mm, while Jaisalmer and Jodhpur received 5 mm rain. Sriganganagar, Bharatpur and Jaipur recorded 1.2, 0.2 and 0.7 mm rainfall.
       
Meanwhile, with weakening of tropical cyclone 'Phet', situation in western parts of the state is now under control, Met department said.
      
However, rail services in and around 150-km long Phaloti-Jaisalmer section is still disrupted following heavy rain in the area.
      
"The affected and submerged part of the section is being repaired. Around 200 labourers have been deployed to restore the section at the earliest," NWR spokesperson said here.
       
"Operation of ten trains have been affected on Phaloti-Jaisalmer route which is likely to restore soon. Train services from Jodhpur to Phalodi is also disrupted," he added.
       
"Lathi village in Pokhran area of Jaisalmer district was evacuated and people were rescued with the help of army yesterday after heavy rainfall in the area and situation is now under control.
       
"Situation in Lathi village is now under control but water level in other places is still high. A survey in rain affected areas will be conducted today," PC Gupta, sub divisional magistrate-Pokhran, said.
