Poachers caught after killing a leopard in Uttar Pradesh

A two-year-old leopard was trapped and later killed by poachers in Katarniyaghat wildlife sanctuary, forest officials said here today.
    
Divisional forest officer RK Singh said that the leopard was first trapped and later beaten to death by the poachers in Karhal range of the wildlife sanctuary yesterday.
    
He said that one of the poachers Shatrughan, who was arrested, has confessed to his crime and also revealed the name of his accomplice Vinod. The trap used by them has also been recovered from a pit.
   
"The Postmortem report has revealed that the leopard was around two-year-old," he said.
