RSS takes protest way to fight for ‘national unity & integrity’

The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) will fight for national unity and integrity by protesting the proposed National Water Policy-2012, Prevention of Communal and Targeted Violence Bill and 4% quota to minorities out of 27% OBC quota.

The right wing organisation has passed two resolutions to protest the decisions of central government in the meeting of the all India representative body, the Akhil Bhartiya Pratinidhi Sabha (ABPS) held at Nagpur from March 16-18.

Giving details about the resolution, Dr Jayanti Bhadesiya, state RSS chief said, “We are determined to unite the nation by opposing moves of the Union government that can divide the country into majority and minority.”

Regarding the National Water Policy, Bhadesiya said, “We will not allow the Indian government to play into the hands of multinational players who are trying to professionalise water conservation and distribution system in the county. There are 10 to 11 multinational companies who are lobbying hard to bring in this policy.”

The organization is on an expansion spree and had added two Prants (region) like Arunachal Pradesh and Manipur in its already existing 39 Prants across the country. “There are 1,039 Shakhas (branches) in 543 villages across the country. We conduct 315 weekly meetings and 156 monthly meeting throughout the year,” Bhadesiya added.
