Savita Bhabhi's creator comes clean, reveals identity

Savita Bhabhi's father is no longer anonymous. The webmaster of the porn toon site, who went by the name of 'Deshmukh', has finally decided to come out in the open and take on the Indian information technology establishment, which banned the website from Indian cyberspace.

'Deshmukh' is the pseudonym of Puneet Agarwal, 38, a second-generation Indian businessman based in the United Kingdom.

Quoting Agarwal, a press release posted on www.savesavita.com, a website started by the promoters and followers of Savita Bhabhi to rally against the ban, said: "If I wanted to fight this ban with any chance of getting it overturned, I realized I could not do it under the pseudonym of Deshmukh. However, for all purposes of Savita Bhabhi, I will still be known as Deshmukh."

Since news of the ban became public in the last week of June, the site has been attracting eyeballs from all over the world, giving its publishers a sudden cult following among anti-censorship activists.

The Save Savita project is offering scores of web tools and links to proxy servers that can easily give an Indian user access to the site by hoodwinking the servers of various internet service providers (ISPs).

Agarwal, the press release claimed, has been contacted by the BBC and will soon make his first appearance on television as the legitimate owner of the Savita Bhabhi property.

On June 3,  the department of telecommunications (DoT) of the ministry of communications and information technology, government of India, asked ISPs to block access to SavitaBhabhi.com.

Justifying the ban, N Vijayaditya, controller of certifying authorities, government of India, had said, "There were several complaints against the site. We have taken action under the relevant sections of the IT Act and blocked the site."
