Kota police, on Thursday, busted a sex racket by raiding a house in Kabirdham colony in Raipura. The area falls under the jurisdiction of Udhyog Nagar police station of Kota city. The police team arrested ten people, including five customers and three girls.
The police were tipped off on a sex racket being operated at a house in Kabirdham colony in Raipura area. Acting of the information, Udhyog Nagar police carried out a raid early morning and arrested ten, including the house owner and the caretaker. Circle in-charge, Udhyog Nagar police station Vijay Shankar Sharma said, the five customers were identified as Naveen Sharma (35), Amit Khateek (28), Jagdish Gupta (40), Idrish Mohammad (30), all residents of Chechat town of Kota district and Vinod Kumar Khateek (29) of Kansuwa area. The three girls held are between the age of 20 and 24 years, he said.
The house owner Rajendra Kumar Meghwal (45) of Chawani Ramchandrapura area and caretaker Deepak Pankaj (24) who lives in Raipura were also arrested from the spot, he said.
Each of the customers was allegedly charged Rs 2000 to 3000, police officials said, adding, “cash amount collected from the customers was also recovered from the possession of the ten accused.” Two cars being used by the customers parked outside the house were also seized in the raid.
