BJP president Amit Shah lost his cool and left the meeting in a huff on Saturday when he found the state BJP unit totally unprepared about the Vistarak Yojna. How furious Shah was can be gauged from the fact that he told Ramlal, party’s national general secretary (organisation), that “the situation here is zero. What can I talk about?” as he left the meeting leaving everybody stunned.

Shah was already aware of the unpreparedness of the state unit. As the meeting began, Shah asked new and old Vistaraks to sit separately and then he asked them “did you get motorcycles?” All Vistaraks answered in the negative. Same was the reply when Shah asked about the petrol allowance.

What made Shah lose his cool was when he asked two Vistaraks about the work done under the scheme and both of them failed to come up with a satisfactory answer.

At this point, an angry Shah got up to leave, but before that he pointed at state GS (organisation) Chandrasekhar, and said, “Shekhar, we had sent the pro forma of Vistaraks Yojna a month ago.

You have not yet distributed the correct information to the Vistaraks.” On the instructions of the national president, now a meeting of Vistaraks will be held on Sunday at the BJP state headquarters at 9 am. In this meeting, Chandrashekhar and national joint secretary (organisation) V Satish will address the Vistaraks. Shah had come to Jaipur on a three-day tour last year. During that time he had instructed the state BJP to appoint Vistaraks in every assembly area. He had said that the Vistaraks should be given motorcycle and petrol allowance. In the last one year, BJP did not work much on the Vistaraks Yojna, the issue was pointed by DNA in its  July 17 edition. BJP had appoint Vistaraks in 119 assembly constituencies out of 200 assembly constituencies.

All focus on Suraj Gaurav Yatra

Chief minister Raje, state president Madan Lal Saini, national organisation GS Ramlal, national GS Bhupendra Yadav and P Muralidhar Rao, national VP Avinash Rai Khanna, Om Prakash Mathur, Union minister Arjun Meghwal were present along with several other party leaders.
