A Victorian woman, who was caught drink driving, defended herself by saying that she was on her way home after buying her hungry cat some food.
The 27-year-old from Mudgegonga was pulled over by Yackandandah police in Victoria's northeast on Saturday night, reports the Sydney Morning Herald.
She was found unlicensed and her breath-test has been read 0.242 - almost five times the legal limit.
The women also smashed a rear window in her car when she allegedly backed into a tree when she first got behind the wheel, police said.
She will appear on Wodonga magistrate's court at a later date.
