Serenity Beach, Pondicherry
If you want to see the sun rise from the waters for a change, then head for the Serenity beach on the eastern shores of India. The beach is ideal for a calm romantic stroll. It is said that in the past some of the brutal Anglo-French battles have taken place on these sands. There are plenty of cottages and cafes near the beach where you can spend some quality time with your loved one.

Lakshadweep Islands
If paradise still exists anywhere on Earth, it’s Lakshadweep. The quiet and uninhabited atmosphere gets only better with some water diving where you can get to experience the unexplored world of marine life. You might come out with an exotic shell and there may be a pearl in it.
 

Chorwad beach, Gujarat
Chorward village is the birth place of Dhirubhai Ambani. Near it is Chorwad beach with its scenic beauty. It’s known across the country for its royal palaces and architecture. From here you can also visit Somnath and Porbander, the birth place of Mahatma Gandhi, which is at close proximity.

Kappad Beach, Kerala
This beach has history living within its sands. Vasco da Gama landed on its shores more than 500 years back with 170 men in three vessels. Other than that, there is a very old temple which dates back to almost 700-800 years and has got a very magical aura about it. Once you are done with reliving the past, then you may also go fishing in the clean waters.

Kovalam Beach, Kerala
It is also known as the ‘Lighthouse beach’. The towering lighthouse is called Vizhinjam and is built on a rocky land and is 30 meters in height. The beach is a long sandy strip and has some good eat-out places.

Balighai Beach, Orissa
Situated 8 km from Puri, Balighai beach provides a wonderful view of the sunrise and the sunset. The Baliharina deer is an inhabitant of this region. If you spend time you might be able to spot it from the beach. Interestingly, the beach also houses The Sea Turtle Research Center, which is worth a visit.

Tarkarli beach, Maharashtra
This is a secluded beach with crystal clear waters. The water is so clear that on a sunny day you can easily see the seabed. The white sand of the beach shimmers with the sunlight and looks heavenly with the green background of the trees. You might want to lose yourself for a few days in this splendid place.
