Fashion for men: Give your mood a gentle boost on a rainy day

There has been no looking back for Shimla lad Aman Tanwar ever since he won the Mr Pune Personality title in the Body Beautiful category. “As I am still pursuing my engineering in Pune, I can take up modelling assignments only during my free time. The title is no doubt encouraging but there is so much more to do and achieve,” says the humble model. He clearly does not let his good looks and achievements — small or big — get to his head and it requires some effort from our side to get him to talk about himself. “I am just starting out. Currently I am touring cities for shows and building my network. The fashion show that I did in Bangalore was great fun. What I have realised is that nothing comes easy in life and struggle is a part of every success story. I am ready to work hard and remain patient,” he says.

Aman's perseverance seems to be paying off as he today is being approached by international magazines and agencies. You may soon see him in commercials too. He will be walking the ramp in Pune and Bangalore International Fashion Weeks as well, but not before posing for our lens man Sanjay MD at the beautiful and serene Basava Ambara boutique. And boy, did we see the shy and simple guy transform into a confident supermodel at the sound of a click or what!

Tresspass
As the light outdoors was fast fading, our stylist Ringku had very little time to give Aman's hair a whole new feel. So she quickly ran her hands through his curly mane and with the help of some hair wax, managed to spike it. Her deft effort, as visible here, not only added volume to his hair but also matched with his uber cool look rather well.

Colour me Pretty
As Aman’s stubble was good enough to up his sexy quotient, the stylist and model didn’t bother with the make up. However he did dab on some lip moisturiser just before posing for the camera.

Dress Me up
 Our model with great ease and panache shows you how to carry off red denims and we too wonder what better way than bright colours to brace ourselves for the monsoon ahead. A pair of slim fit jeans from his one stop shop, Zara, is what he chooses. To accentuate his physique, he picked out a body-hugging V-neck white tee by Spykar. “Throw on a waist coat to convert the ensemble into semi formal attire. Van Heusen has quite an impressive range,” adds Aman. He chose a pair of leather shoes by Red Tape, one of his most favourite brands, which went well with the clothes. As the shoot progressed, Aman volunteered to sport denims in a colour most of us would even shy away from considering — yellow! But as he got ready for the shot, we had to accept that the colour definitely carries its own charm!

L’ll add ons
Aman makes minimal use of accessories and decided to let his bright denims do all the talking. He only wore a string of red beads in a careless fashion around his wrist to complement his global desi attitude. His infectious and John Abraham-like smile completed the ensemble.
