1. Most people feel that accessories are associated with girls but I’d differ on that. Watches, hats, blazers, scarves are all for men. I never step out without my watch. Also, if am holidaying, I prefer using hats and caps. Accessories, used intelligently, can make you look smart.

2. Ripped jeans are in. One can also try and experiment by ripping them at home. But take care not to look like a wannabe — a bit of it is fine.

3. Denims need to be teamed with a comfortable shirt or tee.

4. Most men love wearing jackets and there are many occasions to be seen in one. Personally, I love jackets — denims or leather — I like the macho look and they’re a change from the daily casual attire.

5. I like to take care of my hair. I feel it’s a very important part of styling oneself. I like keeping medium length hair, styled well, most of the time.

6. Cool gadgets like the Playbook and smart phones add to one’s personality.

7. Casual tees on a toned body with shorts or denims are something that men should try.

8. It’s time to bust the myth that men don’t look good in colours like pink, red, green or orange and most of them land up in deep blues or blacks and whites. I am a colourful person — all one needs is the confidence to carry the colours off.

9. Take care of body odour, guys. It’s definitely cool and important to smell good.

10. Lastly, steel chains and weird looking bands are a complete turn off — don’t try them.
