Third time lucky?

Reality show sensation Ashutosh Kaushik is a well-known name now on TV, having won Roadies as well as Bigg Boss.

Now, he is taking part in yet another reality show that will see him vying for votes with his culinary skills.

“Well, I won’t lie. It would be great if I get that hat-trick. I only cross my fingers and take it one step at a time. As of now, I am glad to be part of this cooking reality show Kitchen Champions on Colors,” he tells us.

Ask him how he is preparing for the show and he says, “I never prepare for anything. I just go with the flow…and considering this show tests your knack for cooking, I am confident I will beat them all.

I own a dhaba and I am already familiar with cooking, chopping, grinding, mixing, grating and the kitchen. However, I did take some tips from my mother, as she is a brilliant cook and she will be my best guide.”

About his proficiency in cooking, he reveals, “There is this false impression on people’s minds that only women can be good cooks. In my dhaba, all the men are the best cooks. Most chefs of 5-star restaurants comprise of men, so I can surely make it to the finals.”

Ashutosh is also making his Bollywood debut soon. “I have recently shot for a low budget film Mumbai Mat Jaana, but I’ll be honest…I have hardly got any offers,” he admits.
