Adani Enterprises will take four years to start operations in the Australian coal mine it has acquired, its chief financial officer Devang Desai told a press conference in the western Indian city of Ahemdabad.
Earlier Tuesday, Australia's Linc Energy agreed to sell its Galilee coal tenement to Adani in a deal worth A$3 billion, Linc's chief executive told Reuters.
The Galilee tenement has a coal resource of 7.8 billion tonnes, Adani said in a stock exchange filing.
