The victim has been identified as Amrin Saba Murtija Shaikh, a resident of Gaikwad Nagar of Malad area in Mumbai.
A 22-year-old woman lost her life on Friday, after she was crushed between two buses at Kurla bus depot. The incident happened when one of the two buses was moving in reverse.

The Kurla police have registered an FIR against the BEST driver for causing death due to negligence and have arrested the driver.
According to the police, the victim would work with a reputed finance company and was going to office on Friday morning around 9:30 am. The police said she was passing between the two BEST buses, one of which was a stationary bus. One of the buses was moving in reverse due to which Shaikh was pinned against the stationary bus and got seriously injured.
Shaikh, a bank employee, was rushed to Bhabha hospital nearby by the two passersby. However, she was declared dead by the doctors on arrival.
One of the eyewitness and who rushed Shaikh to the hospital, Saifuddin Khan said, "I was going home after duty and I saw that there was a rush near the bus depot. When I went there, I saw a woman lying in a pool of blood, however, no one was helping her. I along with another passerby hired an auto and rushed her to Bhabha hospital."
"We have registered a case and the driver has been arrested," said Lalasaheb Shetye, Senior Police Inspector of Kurla police station.
The family members of Shaikh were in deep shock and were not able to say anything when contacted by DNA.
