A senior inspector with Dadar railway police's crime branch, against whom a case of demanding bribe from a Cameroon national has been registered by the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB), has claimed that the allegation against him is false. The officer said that a sub-inspector from his office was involved in getting a case registered against him as he had given a report to the superiors against the sub-inspector over non-performance.

The ACB had registered a case against senior inspector Devram Wadmare on March 24.

Wadmare told dna, "I will report to the ACB office soon and I am ready to cooperate in the investigation."

However, director general of police, ACB, Pravin Dixit said, "The Cameroon national approached ACB alone and lodged a complaint. All allegations made by Wadmare are false."
