DNA Property Redevelopment Conference in Mumbai from Feb 4, 5

After achieving tremendous success in the past three events, DNA is back with its property redevelopment conference.

To be held on February 4 and 5, the DNA Property Redevelopment Conference will be conducted at the NSE Grounds in Goregaon.

The event has been organised for residents of the western suburbs. The Maharashtra Societies Welfare Association (MSWA) is the knowledge partner.

The two-day conference-cum-exhibition will touch upon all issues pertaining to redevelopment of houses. If you have queries about registration, issues within the society, how to go about redevelopment, post-redevelopment issues and what is the best redevelopment model, here is your chance.

Gautam Dalal, marketing head of DNA, said, “This is our continued commitment to the real estate/housing needs of the Mumbai city. Through this event, we hope to resolve issues of redevelopment through our panel of experts and developers.

Considering the participation over the last three years, we are optimistic. We have seen increased participation from all parties concerned, mainly the developers whose stalls have increased.”

While the audience will largely comprise housing society members, secretaries, chairmen, and estate agents, there will be speakers from the government, legal fraternity, architect firms, and project management consultants who will be addressing issues on redevelopment.

They will be giving talks on initiatives and the role of the government, Mhada and BMC in housing and redevelopment, the role of co-operatives and conveyance deeds, legal issues on development, case studies, precautions to be taken during redevelopment, policy changes required for redevelopment, and tax issues of a society.

Visitors will also have an opportunity to register for redevelopment if they wish, since some exhibitors will be promoting their housing issues. This they can do after an interactive question and answer session that will be organised by the MSWA.

Senior politicians will also be present at the event to take note of residents’ housing grievances. They will be talking at the conference too. Speakers include Congress MP Sanjay Nirupam, Congress MLA Krishna Hegde and corporator and group leader in the BMC, Ashish Shelar.

Commenting on the initiative, Sachin Ahir, minister of state for housing and redevelopment, said: “The seminar is very useful and people should make the most of it. People can come and address their issues, and views of the government reaches citizens directly. More seminars of the kind should be organised and people should participate in large numbers. It helps us in forming policies.”
