Civic solutions at the click of a mouse for Cantt residents

The Pune Cantonment Board (PCB) will now address grievances of people online. The PCB will install a new software, which will ensure speedy and effective redressal of problems involving civic amenities.

The Samadhan online complain system to can be used by citizens to register their grievances.Tests of the software are in final stages and the PCB officials hope the new system will be in use by March.

Earlier, residents used to submit handwritten applications at the complaint section. With Samadhan, their complaints will not only be registered online but also get resolved within 48 hours.

PCB vice-president Aarti Mahajan said, “We have launched the new software to enhance our working, so that citizens can get issues resolved soon.”

A machine to report grievances has been installed at the Citizens Facilitation Center in PCB. Mahajan said, “Once a citizen registers complaint, he will get an SMS. Officer incharge of the concerned department will also get a similar message. The officials will have to solve the problem within 48 hours.”

PCB chief executive officer KV Shirodkar said, “Now, we will have less paper work and it will be easy for us to keep a tab on a daily basis once we get a message. This will make life easy for all.”
