The actor  talks about his bride-to-be Gurdeep Kohli and his career.

You will be tying the knot with Gurdeep Kohli soon. Is the date set?
Finally, we have decided to take the plunge. The date is fixed for December 10.

What is Gurdeep’s most endearing quality?
I can’t pinpoint one single thing. I like everything about her. She’s a lovely girl with a lot of compassion. She has a great family too. We are perfectly compatible.

What made you take to TV after a film debut?
My debut film ‘Tere Liye’ failed. I was waiting for something worthwhile to happen. Then the soap ‘Sanjeevani’ was offered to me. Playing Dr Aman seemed interesting. I took it up and the rest is history.

You have done films in the South too.
I did two Telugu films. I stayed in Hyderabad for more than six months without knowing the language. It made me homesick. The changed scenario was simply not my cup of tea. So I came back to Mumbai.

What made you do an adult film like ‘Timepass’?
It was a mistake that I regret. I thought the banner was decent and the script seemed fine initially. But when we started shooting, the script changed. I was committed to the film, so I completed it reluctantly. But I stayed out of its publicity.

Are you satisfied doing ‘Woh Rehnewali Mehlon Ki’?
It’s a Rajshri production which is a huge plus. I am also happy that the show has been promoted well. As Prince, I have gained a lot of popularity.

Does doing a daily get tiring?
It’s a learning experience but it’s tiring. You are on the sets for 12 hours, shooting almost 11 scenes a day. It’s like a factory where episodes are churned out to meet deadlines.
